Can Someone Believe in God but not Attend Church?

Yes, one can believe in God but not attend church. In fact, the Bible reassures us that we can create a personal and meaningful relationship with God without depending on organized religion to do so. Jeremiah 29:13 states, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” In other words, we can connect with God through prayer, meditation, scripture study and other spiritual disciplines that can be done independently. Additionally, Hebrews 10:25 encourages us to not give up meeting together, however, it also warns us that if we do not go to church that we should not forsake our own personal worship of God. Thus, it is possible to have a relationship with God by ourselves but it is also beneficial to come together in fellowship.
