    Forum Description

Yes, homosexuality is a sin. The Bible specifically mentions and condemns homosexual behavior. In both Old and New Testaments, passages such as Leviticus 18:22 and Romans 1:27 declare that such behavior is “detestable” and “unnatural.”

Having thoughts of homosexual activity is also wrong because it can lead to the act of homosexuality through lust. This means that simply having lustful thoughts towards someone of the same gender is a sin and is equally as wrong as the act of engaging in homosexual behavior.

This is because not only does the Bible warn against looking at someone with lust in their heart has already committed adultery (Matthew 5:28). It also speaks against engaging in sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). God calls us to remain holy and self-controlled, abstaining from sexual activity outside of the marriage between a man and a woman as it goes against His will.

While the Bible does not condone or accept homosexuality, it does emphasize the importance of loving and showing mercy to all people. As Christians, we are called to show understanding and compassion to those who may not agree with our beliefs, and to strive to create an environment where each person can experience the grace and love of God. We must remember that our ultimate mission is not to judge but to be a vessel of God's love and mercy to all. We should focus on bringing people closer to God, rather than driving them away in judgement.
