What is the Lord’s Prayer and Should We Pray It?

The Lord’s Prayer is a prayer found in the New Testament of the Bible and is attributed to Jesus Christ. It is also known as Our Father, which is the opening line of the prayer. The prayer reads:

“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”

Yes, it is appropriate to pray the Lord’s Prayer. This prayer is a reminder for us to trust God and rely on His love and mercy. We can use it as a way to express our devotion to the Lord by addressing Him directly with praises and petitions. In praying the Lord’s Prayer, Christians are reminded of their dependence on God and are encouraged to seek His will in all things.
